If rain is likely, University officials will announce a decision regarding the rain plan on the home page of the commencement website; on a voicemail message at 336.758.5821; and on local radio (600 AM, 88.5 FM) and television (WXII, Channel 12) stations.
If rain is likely to end in the early morning, Commencement may be delayed until 9:30 or 10 a.m. in order to hold the program on Hearn Plaza.
If the rain plan is put into effect, Commencement will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Graduates must be at the Coliseum with their degree groups by 8:30 a.m. The order of the ceremony will be the same as that of the outdoor ceremony. Undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Arts and Sciences will receive diplomas onstage. All other graduate and professional students will receive diplomas at other locations.
